Prerequisites

Required Prerequisite:

• California Boater Card – Starting January 1, 2018, California law requires boaters to carry the California Boater Card. The curriculum for this NASBLA-approved certification is outside the current scope of the MOTC. There are a number of resources such as boaterexam.com which offers online courses for a nominal fee that will satisfy this course prerequisite.

Please Note: You must include a copy of your California Boater Card with your application in order for you application to be complete. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
