Facilities

The Southern California Marine Institute is a full functioning marine research institute with ideal work spaces for students, faculty, and researchers. SCMI’s waterfront have the following resources and equipment available:

Research Vessel Yellowfin
Small vessels for coastal research (must be MOTC Certified)
Vessel Storage and Maintenance
Machine and Wood Shops
Warehouse for storage
Forklift
Crane
Dive locker with compressor
10,000 square feet of deep harbor space with working docks and wharf
